Seed “Milk”

Save those squash & pumpkin seeds!

Put 1/3 cup winter squash or pumpkin seeds (with hulls is ok) in a 1 cup blender cup & fill with water (if you don’t have a blender cup, put 1/3 cup seeds in a 1-cup measuring cup & fill with water, then dump the whole thing in the blender).  Puree & filter.  I line a potato ricer with nylon net, pour the puree in & press out the “milk”, but you could use cheesecloth or even a clean nylon stocking & press out the “milk” with your hands.  If your seeds were hull-less, you can use the pulp in crackers or breads (or just eat it).  I use seeds with hulls, so I just compost them.
